Shows are up with details. I hope to see you where I can along the road. Excited to be doing lots of unique shows along the way, everything from Synagogues & Yoga Studios, to Bars and Old Folks Homes. Ya, it sounds like the beginning of a joke “So a Filipino-jew, sets off across the continent on his bike to play Synagogues, Yoga Studios, Bars and Old Folks Homes…” The jew part I found out because of my Grandmothers name – Lavine, a Spanish-Jewish name. Anyways, I hope to see you along the way. I am super excited to be doing this tour in the fashion that it is. It is like a little Pleasant Revolution tour, but with less people. If you want to support on the way, please send donations to justin@sinclairband.com paypal. Thanks for reading and enjoy until the end.

Thanks to the growing community of Soul Graffiti activists, inspired to create connections that go beyond business, and into the ethereal which we all can relate to at some level. Scott Jacobs, a local artist gaining recognition throughout California, has created the dreamy picture of where Ancheta’s music can take you. Outside reality and into a dream, Jacobs and Ancheta plan to collaborate on art for the upcoming debut of Ancheta’s new 2011 release which will feature local talented artists of northern california. CD release party will be announced in the near future. If you would like to support the efforts, please make a contribution for the time and efforts of Scott and Ancheta’s collaboration. All proceeds will be going towards the artists. Thank you. You can contact Scott directly through his Scott Jacobs Facebook
Dear Friends and Family,
I am so excited for the future and 2011. What I time to be alive! Especially with the wide range of fear and worry economically, socially, in the world, it is a time to find strength and power in who you are and what you do. I am finding this gets easier the farther I go in life. I have re-established Soul Graffiti Productions with a new emphasis on music, culture, and health, which I hope will lead to a more sustainable future for us all. Please click on the links below that will take you to the newly renovated sites. It is still a work in progress so bare with us. I have TONS of shows coming up as well as working to get my 3rd solo CD out in early 2011. This will be number 6! Time is flying by, yet here I find time to sit and do nothing, just write to you all and wish you a great day! I hope you find time to do the same reflections and spend some good time with family and friends.
One of my new projects with Morgan Nilsen will be the featured artist at the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley tomorrow January 12th. I hope you can make this Klezmenco music night with Jewish Comedy…? Good times : )
Much love,
Justin Ancheta

This Wed open Music/Art Collaboration feat Justin Ancheta – At – Red Popeye Art House.
Happy New Year to all my peoples,
This is the official invitation to the first Red Poppy Art House Artist Salon of 2011.
Tomorrow night we will open the doors of the art house for any musician, artist, poet, or rampant individualist to come in, bring your instrument, voice or passion and join a night of spontaneous creation. We will also be featuring the original music of local musician and art educator Justin Ancheta. He will be performing some original tunes and opening up the floor for complete undaunted collaboration and improvisation. Here is a brief bio of Justin:
Hailing from San Francisco, California, Justin Ancheta is a music making, social changing, conscious spreading, teacher and artist. His eclectic style of reggae flavored indie-rock, funk and jazz is a down-to-earth and moving music with lyrics that reveal his passion for community, awareness, and change. On a scholarship for soccer for four years at Sacramento State University, Justin studied Environmental Science and Music while fronting the acclaimed band “Sinclair” and later “Pills & Jackets.” While still keeping up with performing, Justin has been involved with music programs and after school programs to help pass meaning and culture through his music and love for nature. He has also worked and volunteered with Grid Alternatives & Bay Solar, earthship biotectures and other projects encouraging the knowledge and use of Alternative energy and simple living practices. Justin has played music to encourage art and culture at schools throughout Northern California, focusing on the concept that we can be the change we wish to see. He has also played for multiple benefit concerts such as the realities of modern-day slavery. The next project will be a music bike tour in May to Utah to schools and communities to teach and exercise sustainable touring. More information at www.JustinAncheta.com
Looking forward to seeing everyone. And once again Feliz Ano Nuevo!

I’m excited to say that with a bit of booking craze that came through me after LA NAMM, I have quite the schedule lined up and growing fast in the coming months. Please take a look and find out when I’m coming through your area. Some spots off the top of my head: Oakland, San Francisco, Santa Rosa, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, and more to come. The goal of my shows is to play and meet you personally and find out what we can talk about to get out of the rediculous dreams that society is forcing upon the masses. I want to talk about how we can create our own sustenance for life so that we can practice freedom and where our will in life will take us. I have no doubt that we are all destined for something magnificent. I would like to help in the process for all of us to find this beautiful dream. My songs are to invoke these thoughts and ideas. If you are at a show dancing your asses off and dreaming of how your world would look, please share with me later. Email me personally or on facebook or whatever. Let’s get the ball rolling.
