Thanks for keeping in touch ya’ll. I have been busy in the city playing music and practicing the new tres I got, a cuban style instrument with double strings. I have tons of new recordings and ideas coming out and really looking to work in a professional studio soon with the musicians of my dreams. For the time being, I have a steady amount of gigs coming through and I’d love for you to make it to one, or all of them! The next one is for MAPP – February 4th in the Mission District at David Kubrin’s house – Pathos House. Please see a MAPP map for details on where. I’m also working on a couple different video ideas right now in hopes to get into some of the local festivals in the coming year. If you would like to get more involved, please email booking@soulgraffiti.info and someone will get back to you soon. Thanks again and have a great 2012. Life was supposed to slow down, but maybe that is after this year… i think so.
I write to you at the ending of 2011, and in the transition to new beginnings and transformations. I have been excited about the coming of 2012 since the first reading about the Mayan, Hopi, and Egyption teachings that intrigue me of what may lie ahead in my life, as well as yours. Our life has the ability to direct where seeds grow, and which seeds grow, as well as how they grow. I am excited to continue my learnings in music and life in the ever ending expansion that exists between you and I. Metaphors of metaphors to say the explicit, the reality that makes the dream come true, the imagery to spawn new beginnings and harsh endings that awaken the duende cradled at your core. I invite you to look inside and outside of yourself for what all these words mean to you personally, and I invite you to share space with me in the near future any ideas of wisdom or life truth that can help get the ball rolling so fast it can make the loop of infinity that we all move towards.

Thanks to the growing community of Soul Graffiti activists, inspired to create connections that go beyond business, and into the ethereal which we all can relate to at some level. Scott Jacobs, a local artist gaining recognition throughout California, has created the dreamy picture of where Ancheta’s music can take you. Outside reality and into a dream, Jacobs and Ancheta plan to collaborate on art for the upcoming debut of Ancheta’s new 2011 release which will feature local talented artists of northern california. CD release party will be announced in the near future. If you would like to support the efforts, please make a contribution for the time and efforts of Scott and Ancheta’s collaboration. All proceeds will be going towards the artists. Thank you. You can contact Scott directly through his Scott Jacobs Facebook
